Obtain Blood work & Physical

A doctor will order the necessary bloodwork to determine which treatment protocol would be appropriate if a patient informs their primary care provider or any treating physician who is supervising patient care that they have hypogonadism symptoms (such as lethargy, lack of energy, inability to maintain muscle mass, increased fat deposition, and/or low libido). It is not essential to repeat blood work or a physical if you had them within the previous six months. That bloodwork and physicals are acceptable to us. Otherwise, before beginning testosterone replacement therapy, the following blood tests must be completed:

Complete Blood Count (CBC)

Complete Metabolic Panel (CMP)

Lipid Panel

Total Testosterone

Free Testosterone

Prostate-specific antigen (PSA)

Sex hormone binding globulin (SHBG)

Luteinizing Hormone (LH)

Follicle Stimulating Hormone (FSH)

That is all that is required to qualify, but if you are interested, the following are some additional tests that can be helpful:

Prolactin

Estradiol Ultra Sensitive

Thyroid Stimulating Hormone (TSH)

Don't be concerned; your Customer Care Coordinator will be there for you at every turn to provide assistance and support. You have the option of uploading the results of the blood panel to our patient portal or sending them to your customer care coordinator once you have obtained them.

Obtain a Physical

While you are visiting your doctor for the blood work, request that your provider perform a physical.  You can download a physical form for your doctor to fill out here, in the patient portal, or you can simply obtain the results of your physical from your provider.  Once your doctor provides you with the results of your physical, you can upload them to the patient portal or to your Customer Care Representative.
